Responsibilities

Job Description:  

The C5I contract supports Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Intelligence (C5I) operations, primarily for defense and military entities. Its purpose is to enhance the efficiency, security, and effectiveness of critical communication and intelligence systems used by the Department of Defense (DoD). By providing cutting-edge technology, systems integration, and operational support, the C5I contract ensures that defense personnel have reliable access to advanced tools and data for decision-making, situational awareness, and mission success. Fayetteville's proximity to military installations like Fort Liberty makes it a strategic hub for this work. 

 

This position is contingent upon the award of a SOCOM contract. Work is expected to begin in early 2025.   

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and implement security measures for C5I systems, ensuring they are protected from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. 
  • Ensure all systems and communications adhere to Department of Defense (DoD) security protocols and guidelines, including risk management and information assurance policies. 
  • Lead efforts to integrate and secure new communication and intelligence tools, ensuring that all systems function cohesively and securely within military operations. 

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience: 

 

Information Assurance  

  • 4+ years of experience in an Information Assurance (IA) or cybersecurity role, with a strong focus on securing and managing defense systems. 
  • Experience with DoD security protocols and frameworks, including RMF (Risk Management Framework), NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides). 
  • Proficiency in vulnerability assessment tools, such as Nessus, ACAS, or Fortify, and the ability to conduct thorough risk analyses. 
  • In-depth knowledge of IA controls, certifications, and accreditations, including experience with A&A (Assessment and Authorization) processes. 
  • Strong understanding of C5I systems, including command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, and intelligence. 
  • CSSP Certification Required. 

 

Information Assurance Lead 

  • 8+ years of experience in an Information Assurance (IA) or cybersecurity role, with a strong focus on securing and managing defense systems. 
  • Experience with DoD security protocols and frameworks, including RMF (Risk Management Framework), NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides). 
  • Proficiency in vulnerability assessment tools, such as Nessus, ACAS, or Fortify, and the ability to conduct thorough risk analyses. 
  • In-depth knowledge of IA controls, certifications, and accreditations, including experience with A&A (Assessment and Authorization) processes. 
  • Strong understanding of C5I systems, including command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, and intelligence. 
  • CSSP Manager Certification. 
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams, providing guidance on security best practices and ensuring compliance with DoD policies. 
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to develop security policies, reports, and conduct briefings for leadership and teams. 

 

Network Engineer 

  • Develop and implement architecture solutions for voice, video, radio frequency, and data communications networks to support secure, reliable, and scalable operations. 
  • Design network configurations that meet organizational needs, including bandwidth, security, and data flow requirements, while ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess communication needs, troubleshoot network issues, and optimize performance across all communication channels.  
  • 2+ years of relevant experience 
  • Must meet IAT Level II certification requirements 
  • Proven experience with network engineering and implementation 

 

Systems Engineer 

  • Develop and implement system architecture for both new and existing computer systems to ensure optimal performance and scalability 
  • Analyze and translate requirements into detailed design specifications to support robust and secure system architecture 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and services, ensuring seamless interoperability and alignment with project goals 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience 
  • Must meet IAT Level II certification requirements 
  • Strong background in systems architecture and design 

 

Web DevOps Engineer 

  • Develop, code, deploy, and maintain web applications and websites to meet project specifications and user needs. 
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to implement visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces. 
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across various web platforms to ensure optimal functionality and performance. 
  • Ensure security compliance in web development processes to meet IAT Level II certification standards. 
  • Conduct regular code reviews and optimize application performance for faster load times and improved user experience. 
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in web development, with a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies. 

 

Client Systems Administrator (Help Desk) 

  • Provide direct, hands-on support to end users, addressing technical issues and troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral devices. 
  • Perform routine touch maintenance and diagnostics on computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals, to ensure optimal operation and reliability. 
  • Assist in installing, configuring, and updating system software and hardware to maintain a secure and efficient environment. 
  • Ensure compliance with IAT Level II certification standards, following best practices for system security and user access control. 
  • Document support activities, maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, and manage ticketing systems for tracking issues. 
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in system administration or help desk support, demonstrating strong customer service and technical troubleshooting skills. 

 

Education & Certifications: 

  • B.S. degree or equitable experience in a relevant field and organization. 

 

Security Clearance: 

  • An Active TS/SCI Clearance required
