Required Skills & Experience:
- Understanding of key tools and concepts such as Visual Studio, Docker, WSL and Git
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configure as Code (CaC)
- Design, manage and support code pipelines
- Experience with AWS infrastructure and managed services
- Experience with AWS Federal/Isolated environments
- Experience deploying and supporting configuration management tools such as Helm
- Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK)/Software Development Kit (AWS SDK)/Command Line Interface (AWS CLI)
- Expertise in leveraging Automation/DevOps principles, experience with operational tools, and able to apply best practices for infrastructure and software deployment (Jenkins/Hashicorp Terraform/Helm/Saltstack)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools such as (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
- Experience with GitOps and ArgoCD Continuous Deployment model
- Experience with Kubernetes and Cloud Native Infrastructure
- Experience with Kubectl, K9s, helm charts, namespaces, services and virtual services, secrets and configmaps, helm releases, git repos, pod status
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm etc.)
- Manage and maintain container-based applications deployed in cloud container services
- Experience with Keycloak, sonarqube, ELK or PLG Stack (logging), Grafana, FluxCD/ArgoCD
- Bash Scripting
- DoD IAT Level 2 compliant certification
- Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role
Desired Skills:
- Experience with applying DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs) and automating that process
- Experience with working in defense or intelligence community cloud environments is a plus
- Experience with developing and managing machine images or templates to automate cloud deployments
- Experience with optimizing cloud environments, including leveraging native cloud capabilities, right-sizing servers, expanding storage, and tracking cost efficiencies at the microservice level
- Experience with configuring and aggregating logs for data analysis using Splunk or ELK solutions
Education & Certifications:
- BS Degree in Computer Science Preferred or related field
- AWS certifications that are pertinent (in decreasing priority order):
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate
